Our Story: A Journey to Clean Living
My name is Sandra, and I am the owner and operator of SunCoast Natural Health, Petrolia’s dedicated health food store and refillery.
Having grown up in an entrepreneurial family, I always knew I was destined to run my own business. However, I also knew it couldn’t just be any business—it had to be fueled by passion and a desire to truly enrich the lives of my family and my community.
Born Out of Necessity
SunCoast Natural Health didn’t start with a business plan; it started with a mother’s search for answers. Years ago, one of our children began reacting to mainstream cleaners, detergents, and foods. We watched him struggle with painful skin rashes, inflammation, and chronic digestive issues.
Determined to find a better way, I sought out chemical-free options. A visit to a neighboring health food store changed everything. Not only did I find the products that helped heal my son’s skin and digestion, but I also discovered a world of healthy choices and supplementation that could transform our entire family’s well-being.
A Meandering Path to Purpose
It took more than eight years from that first pivotal visit to the day I finally opened the doors of SunCoast on August 10th, 2021. My journey followed a meandering path, but every detour only strengthened my resolve to create a space for others seeking a more sustainable, chemical-free lifestyle.

Today, SunCoast is more than just a shop. Between our curated supplements, our eco-friendly Refillery, and our new Holistic and Nutritional Counselling Clinic, we are here to provide the tools and education you need to thrive.

Behind the Name: Life by the Lake
SunCoast Natural Health is a direct reflection of the life we love. Long before this store was even a dream, my husband and I made a conscious choice to build our lives here—among the beaches, the sunsets, and the incredible communities of Lambton County. The name is a tribute to our home on the shores of Lake Huron and the natural beauty that inspires us every day.
The Refillery: Sustainability Made Simple
I integrated a Refillery into our store because I believe eco-conscious living should be both fun and accessible. It’s a practical way to reduce waste while stocking up on the essentials you already use. From laundry and household cleaners to personal care items, our taps are always ready. Most importantly, because I understand the need for clean options, I ensure a scent-free version is available for every product we carry.
